Grit Endurance Coaching Events

As part of Chicago’s premier triathlon training club, you get access to our team events and training sessions year-round. From open water swims to indoor triathlon training at FFC Union Station, Grit Endurance offers a diverse calendar for all levels.

Group Track Run Workouts
Every Wednesday morning & evening from April through September
6:00-7:00am at Montrose Ave & 6:15-7:15pm at Dunbar Park

Group Open Water Triathlon Swim Workouts
Every Friday from June through August
6:00-7:00am at Ohio Street Beach, Chicago
Start your Friday mornings this summer with triathlon swim training! The Grit Endurance team hosts a structured open water swim each Friday from June through August!

Group Indoor Triathlon Swim Workouts
Mon & Thur evenings and Wed mornings at FFC Union Station, Chicago
Join our year-round tri swim program to build fitness and improve your swim technique. Classes are at 6:00pm on Mondays, 6:30am on Wednesdays, and 5:30pm on Thursdays!

Team Volunteer Day at Paws Chicago
Join us for this team volunteering event at Paws Chicago! We will get a presentation/tour, then will start a project (cleaning, sorting donations, etc.), then wrap up by playing with a puppy or kitten!

Spring Social in the Park!
Come hang out and get to know your teammates at our spring social in Oz Park! Feel free to bring some snacks and/or drinks of your choosing!

Team Volunteer Day at the Chicago Spring Half Marathon
Are you ready to give back to the race community?! Join us as volunteers at the 2025 Life Time Chicago Spring Half-Marathon +10K on May 18th! We’ll be out on the Lakefront Trail, volunteering at the 31st Street Aid Station, from 5:30am to 11:30am, supporting runners with water, snacks, and encouragement along the course.
As a volunteer, you’ll receive a Life Time Chicago volunteer shirt, a light meal, snacks, water, and plenty of fun memories with your fellow Grit Endurance teammates. It’s an awesome way to be a part of a sport we love so much while giving back and having a blast!

Join your fellow Grit Endurance athletes for fun and camaraderie on the slopes! Embrace the thrill of winter by joining us to ski or snowboard - the perfect way to stay active during the triathlon off-season! Whether you’re a seasoned skier, an adventurous snowboarder, or just looking to try something new, this event is for you! As usual, friends and family are welcome!

GE Virtual Bike Race on Training Peaks Virtual!
Join us for our first group event on Training Peaks Virtual! The race will start at 9:00am and will be 14.3 miles in length, with 1358 feet of elevation gain! It’s a points race, so you can obtain points at different locations throughout the race. Also join us for audio on our Discord channel to participate in the banter during the race! All levels are welcome!

Ice Skating at Maggie Daley Park
Join us for some skating fun at the Maggie Daley Park Ice Ribbon! We will be doing the 11am-1pm session, then will head to a nearby spot for lunch!

Flat tire changing and transition clinic
Join us for this two-part clinic where we’ll review how to properly set up and execute your transitions, as well as how to change a flat tire! This will be perfect for beginner triathletes.

Ironman Wisconsin Course Ride
Whether you are training for a fall ironman or 70.3, or just want a serious challenge, join us for this group training ride on the beautiful and hilly IM Wisconsin course!

“Racing with the Mind” - Sports Psychology & Mental Skills Clinic
Join us for our clinic “Racing with the Mind”, a sports psychology and mental skills clinic with Zac Robbins, from Adler University!

July Group Bike Ride - Manteno
Join us for our monthly group rides, at rotating Chicago area locations! The rides will have multiple pace groups covering anywhere from 20-60 miles.

Trivia Night at Bunker
Let’s swap the spandex and athletic gear for some real clothes and a fun evening playing Trivia and hanging out with your teammates at Bunker in the West Loop! Trivia starts at 7pm, so try to arrive by 6:30 so we can all get a spot together!

May Group Bike Ride - Yorkville
All levels are welcome to our group rides. On May 11, we will start and finish in Yorkville, IL!
